Shaun Murphy, owner of the Indoor Sun Shoppe, works on his newest creation for Fremont Oktoberfest: a vintage yellow VW Bug turned mossy, fern-filled woodland scene, complete with what looks like beer flowing on tap. The car has been a canvas for numerous scenes, from snowy train layouts to fields of succulents, and Murphy relishes the chance to get creative. (Fun fact: The tap is from Brouwer’s!)
See it at the entrance to Fremont Oktoberfest, N. 35th Street and Phinney Avenue N., which runs through Sunday, Sept. 20.
