King County ballots for the Nov. 3 general election landed in mailboxes last week, and a few key deadlines are coming up fast.

Ballots were mailed Oct. 14. If yours still hasn’t arrived, the county asks voters to call 206-296-8683 (that’s 206-296-VOTE) for a replacement.

Oct. 26 is the last day to register or update a voter address online. Voters can still register and get a ballot in person at a Vote Center through Election Day. Staff there can register new voters, update records, and help anyone who needs assistance completing a ballot.

King County Elections is hosting an Accessible Voting Event at the Ballard Food Bank, 1400 NW Leary Way, on Oct. 29 from 1 to 4 p.m. Trained elections staff will bring accessible voting units, and voters can register, update an address, get a replacement ballot, or ask questions.

Any registered voter can also use the county’s online ballot marking site, which was designed to help voters who are blind or have low vision cast a private ballot.

If you lost your printed voters’ pamphlet, do not fret: the pamphlet is also available online.

Ballots can be returned by mail, at a drop box, or at a Vote Center. Mailed ballots must be postmarked by Election Day, and drop boxes close at 8 p.m. Nov. 3. The nearest drop box for many Fremonsters sits at Waterway 19 Park, 2119 N. Northlake Way. The full list is on the county’s ballot drop box map.
