Hello, neighbors! Welcome to Fremont Neighbor Notes, a Friday guide to what’s happening around our community in the coming week.
June 6 – 8: Flying Blind! at West of Lenin – The Anything is Possible Theatre Company presents “Flying Blind!,” an original musical about the blind and low-vision community performed by a predominantly blind cast, running through Sunday, June 8, at West of Lenin Theatre at 203 North 36th Street. Organizers recommend arriving 20 minutes early due to limited parking.
June 6 – 9: Ballard Bridge Closure – Bridge closes Friday at 10 PM (lane closures starting 7 p.m.) and reopens Monday by 5 a.m. 15th Ave NW will also be fully closed between NW 51st St and NW 50th St during this period for concrete roadway restoration. SDOT recommends using the Aurora Bridge (SR 99) if you have to drive and only use the Fremont Bridge if you’re traveling to Fremont or Westlake, since the bridge has limited capacity.
June 7: evo Campus Seattle Block Party – The Campus Seattle Block Party celebrates the full opening of the Fremont campus Sunday, featuring Seattle Bouldering Project’s obstacle course, vendor activations, and local businesses including evo Seattle, All Together Skatepark, Brooks, and Black Diamond. The day begins with a 3-mile Brooks fun run at 8 a.m. from 3400 Stone Way North, followed by the obstacle course at Seattle Bouldering Project Fremont from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with entry costing $5 for members and 98103 residents or $15 for non-members, plus vendor village activities from noon to 5 p.m. and a raffle at 5 p.m.
