Councilmember Dan Strauss walks with local residents during a neighborhood tour of the proposed Upper Fremont Neighborhood Center on May 30. The walking tour allowed Strauss to assess proposed zoning changes in the area while gathering community input on the city’s Comprehensive Plan updates.
The tour comes as Seattle moves forward with permanent legislation to comply with Washington state’s House Bill 1110 density requirements, following the Seattle City Council’s passage of interim legislation on May 27. Strauss is hosting a District 6 town hall on Wednesday, June 18, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Magnolia Branch of the Seattle Public Library to discuss the Comprehensive Plan, the city’s budget deficit and other key issues.
