Fremont Neighbor Note for November 7

,

Welcome to Fremont Neighbor Note, our Friday series highlighting what’s happening in and around our neighborhood.

November 10: A Socratic Conversation at Ophelia’s Books – A Socratic conversation exploring philosophical questions about identity, purpose and hope will take place Monday, Nov. 10, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Ophelia’s Books, 3504 Fremont Ave. N. The November discussion, facilitated by longtime Fremont neighbor Caroline Sayre, will center on a quote about harnessing energies to create “a new American experience” that reflects “the goodness and grace of the human spirit,” inviting participants to explore who said it, why and under what circumstances. The community dialogue emphasizes curiosity over judgment, with guidelines including speaking from personal experience, giving space to others and maintaining courtesy and generosity in conversation. RSVP at opheliasbooks.com.

Welcome!
