Fremont Neighbor Notes for July 11-17

Hello, neighbors! Welcome to Fremont Neighbor Notes, a Friday guide to what’s happening around our community in the coming week.

July 11: Fremont Fridays – Fremont Fridays, Seattle’s free weekly summer music festival, continues through Sept. 5 with an expanded format featuring three stages across Fremont venues. The festival runs every Friday from 5 p.m. to close, offering performances from more than 100 local and touring artists at LTD Bar and Grill, George and Dragon Pub’s all-ages stage, and the new Add-a-Ball indoor stage. Originally launched in 2021 by Marshall Law Band and Mediums Collective as a pandemic-era community gathering, the festival combines live music, local vendors and cultural celebration in what organizers call “Seattle’s festival for the people.”

July 12: Fremont Community Cleanup – The Fremont community cleanup returns Saturday, July 12, from 9 to 11 a.m., marking the first neighborhood cleanup in several years as part of One Seattle Day of Service. Organized by Dennis Bateman from Patrick Place Apartments with help from Fremont Neighborhood Council members, the event will focus on Upper Fremont and provide all necessary supplies including t-shirts, gloves and trash bags, though volunteers should bring their own litter pickers if available. No RSVP is required, and local businesses including Marketime, Caffe Vita and Pecado Bueno will provide provisions for volunteers.

July 12: Community Free Day – The 2025 Fremont-Wallingford-Green Lake Community Free Day will be held Saturday, July 12, featuring a neighborhood-wide yard sale where all items are free. Organized by local Buy Nothing and Freecycle groups, the event is open to immediate neighborhood residents from 9 a.m. and to all visitors after 1 p.m., with participants adding their locations to an online map and displaying free items outside their homes. A map of participating locations is available here
