May 17: Substation with Pigeon John and AWOL One – Don’t miss LA hip hop artist Pigeon John performing live with AWOL One at Substation Seattle on May 17! This 21+ show features the Quannum Records artist who made his name at the legendary Good Life Cafe open mics in the 90s and as part of Brainwash Projects and L.A. Symphony. May 19: Comprehensive Plan Public Hearing – The Seattle City Council’s Select Committee on the Comprehensive Plan will hold a public hearing on May 19 regarding amendments to the interim HB 1110 “middle housing” legislation. The hearing will take place in two sessions: morning remote comments (9:30am-noon) with registration opening at 8:30am, and afternoon in-person comments (4:00pm) with registration beginning at 3:30pm. Each speaker will have one minute to comment, and participants may only register for one session. This hearing is part of Seattle’s process to meet the state’s June 30 implementation deadline for middle housing requirements while allowing more time to consider the mayor’s proposed One Seattle Comprehensive Plan.
May 21: Fremont Library Family Story Time – Looking for a delightful morning activity for your little ones? Bring your children up to age 5 to Family Story Time on Wednesday, May 21, from 10:15-10:45am at the Fremont Branch Library.
