The premier Fremont event of the year – the Fremont Solstice Parade – is calling for participants and volunteers.

Scheduled for Saturday, June 21, the 2025 Fremont Solstice Parade will fill our streets with beautifully hand crafted floats and artistic performances. It’s a community driven-event organized by the Fremont Arts Council and renowned for its creativity. What also sets it apart from other parades is that there are no motorized vehicles, written words or corporate sponsors.

How to participate

  • Create a Float or Performance Group: Artists, dancers, and musicians can register to be part of the official parade lineup.
  • Apply for a Grant: The Fremont Arts Council offers funding for select projects to help bring creative ideas to life.
  • Volunteer: Help make the magic happen by assisting with parade logistics.

Sign up and learn more at Fremont Arts Council’s Parade Page.

What about the naked cyclists?

If you’re planning to join the Solstice Cyclists, no registration is needed! The body-painted bike riders are coordinated separately by Solstice Cyclists, so check their site for details.

I’ll be following along with updates as the parade gets closer. Stay tuned for more details on what to expect on parade day!

Welcome!
