Community members gathered at Meridian Playground for the Fremont Arts Council’s annual May Day celebration on May 3. Participants of all ages enjoyed traditional Maypole dancing around both children’s and adult Maypoles, creating a colorful spectacle of intertwining ribbons. The festive atmosphere included flower crown making stations, live music performances, and a community potluck featuring diverse dishes. Children engaged in special crafts and games throughout the afternoon, while adults joined in drum circles and danced to live bands. The free event celebrated the transition from spring to summer, embodying the FAC’s mission to build community through creative expression and play.
