Fremont continues its transformation this fall, welcoming a family-owned winery tasting room, an aesthetics spa, and authentic Indian cuisine, while a beloved neighborhood bar has new ownership and the local 7-Eleven undergoes major upgrades.

Openings

Five new businesses have recently opened in the neighborhood, bringing fresh dining and service options to residents.

Sangamam opened at 473 N 36th St, offering authentic Indian cuisine in an elegant atmosphere. The restaurant serves dosas, biryanis, chaats, and tandoori specialties alongside Indo-Chinese fusion dishes. The space is designed as a gathering place for families and food lovers to enjoy meals made with fresh ingredients and traditional recipes.

Mansion Creek Cellars opened its tasting room at 900 N 34th St Suite A, bringing a family-owned winery to Fremont. The business specializes in wines influenced by Spanish and Pacific Northwest heritage, focusing on varietals like Albariño and Tempranillo alongside hidden gems like Touriga Nacional and Graciano. The space accommodates up to 25 guests for private events and includes patio seating. Hours are Wednesday-Friday 4-9 p.m., Saturday 2-9 p.m., and Sunday 2-8 p.m.

Ritual House Aesthetics & Wellness launched at 4459 Fremont Ave N, Suite 2, offering advanced facials, body contouring, and waxing services. Founded by Angela Rose, the clinic operates on an all-inclusive, no-tipping model. Rose brings experience in facial rejuvenation and takes a holistic approach that considers clients’ health, lifestyle, and environment when creating treatment plans.

Forest Ceramic Co. opened a retail location at 513 N 36th St, bringing the Orcas Island-based pottery studio to Seattle. Owner Sean Forest Roberts, who has a background in chemistry, creates distinctive marbled and layered colored porcelain pieces. The company’s work features nature-inspired patterns created through experimental techniques developed over nine years.

Analog Plant Rentals has moved into the former garden ceramic space at 3623 Leary Way NW. The business specializes in short-term rentals of live plants for events including weddings and trade shows, with an emphasis on sustainability. Most plants live in planters made from recycled material.

Rebranding

Ha! Bar at 4256 Fremont Ave N closed Nov. 16 and reopened Nov. 20 as LZ’s Tavern under new ownership. A former employee took over the business from retiring owners Alycia and Chris, with plans to maintain the neighborhood hangout atmosphere while introducing updates. Changes include a revised food menu, new cocktails with house-made syrups, more non-alcoholic options, and community events. Some familiar staff returned for the reopening. The new tavern operates with hours from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. and no longer allows minors.

Renovation

The 7-Eleven at 304 N 36th St is temporarily closed for underground fuel tank replacement. The renovation involves removing existing tanks and installing two new 15,000-gallon tanks along with updated fuel piping systems. The closure may last a couple months.
