Sometimes the best art in Fremont isn’t the stuff you can see from blocks away…it’s the tiny treasures hiding in plain sight, waiting for someone to take a closer look.

Tucked into the alley behind the Fremont Library, someone has built a miniature skatepark complete with rails, ramps, and obstacles, all scaled perfectly for fingerboarding. For the uninitiated, fingerboarding is exactly what it sounds like: skateboarding tricks performed with tiny replica boards controlled by your index and middle fingers.

“One of my favorite hidden pieces of art in Fremont,” Zac tells us. “Have no idea who did it, but it brings me joy every time I walk by it.”

The park has caught the attention of at least one fingerboard enthusiast who posted a video showcasing the spot on Instagram, giving you a good sense of what tricks are possible on this miniature course.

But beyond that? The creator remains a mystery. We searched online but couldn’t find any information about who built it or when it appeared. It’s the kind of installation that perfectly captures what makes Fremont special: someone took the time to create something delightful for no reason other than to spread a little joy.
