Dordlofva Café soft opens, serving from sidewalk window
A reader reported that Dordlofva Café at 3500 Fremont Avenue North had a soft opening May 9 and is serving from a sidewalk-facing window. For the next three weeks, they will serve drinks and pastries. There are plans to serve alcoholic drinks and ice cream in the future. More details to come!

J.P. Patches statue – Late for the Interurban – vandalized

One of Fremont’s well known art installations was recently vandalized and community members have mobilized to repair the damage. According to FOX 13, the bronze sculpture was damaged within the past few weeks when someone covered the entire statue with black paint, obscuring the iconic clown’s recognizable white face, red lips, and red nose.
