Some good stuff is happening in the neighborhood this weekend. This is just a curated list; there’s plenty more going on in Fremont. See the comprehensive calendar at fremontneighbor.com/events.

Saturday, October 17: Fremont Zombie Crawl
Shuffle out for the Fremont Zombie Crawl, a Halloween bar crawl through participating neighborhood spots including Triangle Spirits, Twist of Fate, El Camino, Dreamland, Petoskey’s, the Handsome Jack Supply Company, Red Star, LTD, Stampede Cocktail Club and the Fremont Social. Anyone in a zombie costume gets drink specials along the way, and the night caps with a Thriller dance-off at the Fremont Social at 11 p.m.

Sunday, October 18: Ross Playfield weeding party
Volunteers are gathering for a weeding work party at Ross Playfield from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to ready the grounds for fall tree planting. Seattle Parks has approved 13 new trees for the site, and organizers say volunteers will be able to help plant them on a weekday in November, with the date still to be announced. No experience needed, just come ready to pull weeds.

October 18–31: Seattle Restaurant Week
Seattle Restaurant Week returns October 18 through 31 with fixed-price menus at $20, $35, $50 and $65 at spots across the region. Fremont’s lineup includes Le Coin, Haerfest, Kamonegi, Tavolata Fremont, Joule, Kayava Fremont, El Camino, 19 Gold, Red Star Taco Bar, Revel, Kaosamai and Canteen by Meesha. Menus and reservations are at srweek.org.
