A missing flyer spotted on utility poles in lower Fremont is turning heads this week. But it’s not for a lost dog or cat.

Someone is searching for “Plunko,” a 2-foot-8 penguin described as a “Dapper guy,” “Community leader,” and “Motion Coordinator” who was “Last seen at the function.”

He reportedly dislikes social media and loves Kodak.

The flyers have been popping up across the city, with sightings on Capitol Hill and other neighborhoods. A Reddit thread about Plunko has drawn more than 200 upvotes. A commenter said, “Plunko is a well respected community leader and has many detractors who would love nothing more than to see him fail.” Another simply pleaded: “Come home, Plunko. 😢”

The mystery has even confused Google’s AI Overview, which confidently reports that Plunko is a missing dog of the breed “Plunko” last seen in the Fremont/Ballard area.

For the record, Plunko is a penguin. He is 2 feet, 8 inches tall. He was last seen at the function.

No one has taken credit for the flyers and Plunko’s whereabouts remain unknown.
