The second edition of the Fremont Neighbor Forum is out and posted on poles near the dinosaur topiaries along the Burke-Gilman Trail in Fremont Canal Park.

This issue introduces a section called Neighbor Voices, and it starts with someone who has been a voice in the neighborhood for many years. Rudy Pantoja, Jr. has volunteered with the Fremont Rotary Club since the late 1990s, trimming ivy, cleaning the greenbelt, and keeping the topiaries alive through every season. He is now the club’s president. In his own words, he writes about what the trail and the dinosaurs mean to him, from the smell of native plants blooming to the silence along the canal that so many of us take for granted.

The Forum is a free print publication from Fremont Neighbor, distributed monthly as flyers on neighborhood poles near the subject of each issue. If you’re walking the trail near the dinos, keep an eye out.

Fremont Neighbor is independent, ad-free, and community supported. If you value having local news that belongs to the neighborhood, you can help keep it going at https://fremontneighbor.com/support/.
