One Fremontster didn’t have to look far for Halloween costume inspiration.
A neighbor from the Dayton Avenue North block dressed as the tower crane rising over the Ballroom block redevelopment. The costume, made of yellow paper latticework over a light shirt and dark pants, mirrors the crane, right down to a small American flag at the top.
He posed for a photo Saturday evening with his much taller twin in the background. He said he liked the meta aspect of the costume, that it’s one only neighbors would get.
That same crane made news earlier in the week, when a man climbed it around 12:35 a.m. Tuesday and was eventually guided down and arrested by Seattle Police, MyNorthwest reported.
